Day 2

Cafeteria: Sloppy Joe with mashed potato and veggies OR Pacific Rim OR Chicken Ranch Wrap with salad.

Hey Bobcats!! Today is math shirt day, the only day it’s actually acceptable to walk around with Pi on your shirt!! Also, next week we are having a TRI-FECTA of spirit days!!

Tuesday- Tropical Tuesday, as well as a turn up in the morning and a valentines themed name that tune at lunch!!

Wednesday-Valentines day theme!! Wear your favourite Valentines themed clothing!!

Thursday-Comfy/ PJ day!!

On Monday and Tuesday we will be selling Candy Grams, 2 for $1 and carnations for $2 that you can send to anyone in the school!! Cupid will be delivering these sweet treats on Wednesday morning!

Reminder: Transcripts must be sent following first semester final marks. This is for new applications and students already accepted. Please let Elizabeth in Student Services know what college/university you wish your first semester marks sent.

Lots of opportunities to acquire Community Service Bursaries or Duke hours:

· The Sweetheart Tournament this weekend – February 9th – 10th at APM Centre

· The North Shore Minor Basketball Jamboree this Saturday, February 10th at Gulf Shore School

· The Jack Frost Winterfest – February 16th – 18th . Information available in Student Services

Bluefield has a Blood Donation evening planned for Tuesday Feb. 13th. See Mr. Theuerkauf to book an appointment. Students (age 17), staff, and parents are welcome.

The Math Zone will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays all semester. This is a great place to go for math help, or to simply work on your math. All former volunteers who wish to continue tutoring are asked to sign up on the schedule outside of the Learning Center. We are also looking for new volunteers for the new semester. Please see any math teacher for an application form if you are interested.

Crib Club is back in action. The last school day of every week! All are welcome!

Any student who took art last semester must come to pick up their art work and sketchbooks this week. Any work not collected by Monday will be thrown out as there is not enough storage room.

Students who took photography last semester must return all photography equipment immediately. All sd cards, tripods, and cameras must be returned.

It has come to our attention that a team of Grade 12 girls from Bluefield won the championship for the Island Dodgeball Championships held at Holland College this past weekend. Their team was called “One Last Shot”. One of the boys teams with Bluefield students won the Boys Championship. Their team was called “The Canucks”. Congrats to all!
